The Worcester Council hosts a monthly speaker series (September to May) on dates determined by the availability of our speakers. Speakers include US or foreign government officials, academics, policy makers, authors, journalists, and other professionals. Meetings in 2024-25 will be in person, usually at the Worcester Club, with a hybrid format accommodate remote attendance.

What is the Worcester
World Affairs Council?
The mission of the Worcester World Affairs Council is to educate, inspire, and engage its members in international affairs. The Council’s monthly meetings provide a convivial setting for members and invited speakers to discuss the critical global issues of our time.
Members include community members, civic leaders, professionals, academics, and business people, all of whom share a desire to gain a greater understanding of international and global issues.
The Worcester Council is one of more than 90 similar councils across the United States. The Worcester World Affairs Council (WWAC) is a Massachusetts-chartered nonprofit corporation formed in 1958 under the auspices of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, and it is affiliated with the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA). Neither WWAC nor WACA have any political affiliation and do not take a position on any matters of policy. Members have widely varying points of view along the political spectrum.
